What
Imperial Valley Christian Center is a Charismatic/Word of Faith Church located in El Centro, California.
Why
You should come to our church if you'd like to try and be a disciple of Jesus.
I think the word "apprentice" is a better word for conveying the idea of "disciple." Christians are supposed to be apprentice Jesuses. Like someone might decide to become an apprentice carpenter, or plumber, or electrician, or karateca, Christians are supposed to decide to become apprentice Jesuses.
An apprentice imitates his master until he becomes like the master. That's what Christians are supposed to do. So the Apostle Paul says:
Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. (1 Corinthians 11:1 NRSV)
My job as the pastor is to imitate Christ so I can become like the master and then help others to do the same.
I like to put it this way, my job is to turn people into mini-Jesuses.

We meet Sundays at 8:00a.m. at 610 S. 10th Street, El Centro, California
Pastors
The pastors are Greg & Becky Marquez. Greg is a 1979 graduate of UCLA, a 1982 graduate of the UCLA School of Law, and a 1994 graduate of RHEMA Bible Training Center in Tulsa, OK. Becky is 1984 graduate of UCLA, a 1994 graduate of RHEMA Bible Training Center and has a Masters in The Humanities from Cal.State Dominguez Hills. They have four children, Jeremiah 24, Christina 15, Steven 13 and Elizabeth 11.
