Continuing the story of how I learned what faith is.

So my question was, is faith something that happens to me or is faith something that I do? In the course of meditating on Mark 11:23 I discovered that the first part of faith is knowing something on the inside, in your heart, in your spirit. So faith, or the first part of faith anyway, was something that happened to you as you heard the word of God, studied, meditated, the word of God. I was surprised also to discover that this thing, which had taken me 24 years to figure out, was what Pastor Price and Papa Hagin had been teaching us all along with their emphasis on learning to walk in love, and learning to be led by the spirit.

This quote of George Müller's pretty much sums up our goal as a church. This is where we want to get to. This is where we want everyone in our church to get to.

Sometimes you'll hear "experts" asserting that in the Hebrew scriptures faith just means faithfulness, but here's Moore saying that's a misunderstanding.
